- Story:Welcome to White Tiger Kung Fu
For thousands of years, the Chinese people have developed their own styles of hand-to-hand combat for self-defense and their own systems of healing for maintaining good health. Sadly, many of these ancient Chinese practices were forgotten over time or lost during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
Fortunately, White Tiger Kung Fu (also known as Bak Fu Pai) has survived completely intact, since 1644, with ancient and rare knowledge. All important components of a true southern shaolin kung fu system are intact including the fighting, grappling, joint locking, throws, qigong, herbal formulas and weapons.
For six generations, White Tiger Kung Fu has been passed from father to son, ending finally with Grandmaster Doo Wai, who has decided to make the art available to the public. Aside from holding the esteemed title, Grandmaster Doo Wai is a Chinese historian, scholar, and has been on the cover of Inside Kung Fu, Ancient Sets of Kung Fu, and Karate Kung Fu Illustrated. Grandmaster Doo Wai also serves as a technical advisor on martial arts-related feature films and was on the Grand Jury of the San Diego Film Festival.
